  • Borrowing methods

    1. Borrowing books at the Yujing Campus: All books can be borrowed except for course textbooks, reference books, and papers.

All returns must be mailed to the Yujing Campus (No. 85, Sanpu, Sanpu Village, Yujing District, Tainan City, Attn: Missionary Theological Seminary Library). Please include postage with the returned books. The return date is the postmark date, which will be the base date for calculating late payment penalties. The time from receiving the application to mailing the books is approximately 5 business days, excluding mailing time.

    Theological Library Committee

  • Our library is a member of the Theological Library Committee and can use member libraries of the Theological Library Committee through "Interlibrary Cooperation". There are three ways:
  • Use the "Interlibrary Cooperation Library Card" to borrow books from other theological libraries. You can borrow 5 books for 21 days, which cannot be renewed or reserved. Doctoral students who are writing their dissertations can use it first. Apply for an interlibrary cooperation library card from Director Liu.
  • Borrow books from other theological libraries through our library. You can borrow 5 books for 21 days, which cannot be renewed; overdue is 5 yuan per day. Application procedure: (1) Email the name of the theological library, book title, author, publisher, year of publication and address to Director Liu at galileecenter.lib@gmail.com. (2) After receiving the book, the library will mail it to the applicant. The applicant needs to pay all postage for the book.
  • Our library does not yet have an electronic database and a large number of Chinese and English journals. You can also apply through interlibrary cooperation. Please email the databases and journal articles you require to Director Liu, specifying: database name, journal name, volume and issue, publication date, article title, and author. The applicant is responsible for paying the journal photocopying fee and postage before sending the documents to Director Liu.
  • Other seminary libraries can be used nearby.

As approved by a motion passed at the College Council meeting on August 15, 2025, doctoral graduates must submit both a hard copy and an electronic copy of their dissertation to the university library. One electronic copy will be available on the library's website for external scholars to access and reference. One hard copy will be available for in-library reading. Failure to submit either copy will result in the denial of graduation.
